Your Lucky Mission!


Enjoy the art of the American Wing galleries at The Metropolitan Museum of Art with this fun quest designed for kids 5-10 years old and their grown-ups.

Before you start:

  • Make sure you are in The Met.

  • Grab a coin and think of a wish. (If you successfully complete the mission, you will be able to throw this coin into a fountain for your wish to come true.)


What to know:

  • You’ll need about 45 min to 1 hour to complete this mission.

  • Grown-ups will need to help and supervise their young explorers.

  • As you solve the clues, you will receive more information on what to do next.

  • Please remember to adhere to the museum rules: do not tour or get too close to the artwork, use your indoor voice, and do not run through the galleries.

Tips:

  • Have fun but don’t forget that you are in a museum, and the rules still apply. Remember not to touch the artwork, walk slowly, and keep your voices down.

  • If any artwork is not on display in the galleries at a particular time, you can click on the link at the bottom of each page to see the work on your phone.
