My goal

My goal is not that young minds will be able to recite the dates of the American Revolution, but that they would be able to recognize the struggles leaders of a newly formed community must face and the cost of freedom. I hope that the children I influence is not that they will be able to correctly sort species of fish into the correct phylum but will understand the interconnectedness of all living beings on this planet.   I hope that students will never memorize the first 10 digits of pi but be forever in awe of the magic and complexity of our universe and existence and be propelled to keep learning more.
