11:00am-1:00pm
Prospect Park (south)
Grab a toolbelt, power up your imagination, and get ready to discover the wonders of wires, the mysteries of motherboards, the secrets of circuits and much much more!
Kids and their grown-ups are invited to crack open everything from old radios to ancient VCRs (remember those?) to pull apart wires, remove circuit boards, and discover all sorts of electrical components.
We’ll provide the tool belt with tools, safety goggles, gloves, and old junk to destroy!
IMPORTANT:
Best for kids 4-6 years old with grown-up support.
We’ve prepped materials and supplies that would be best for kids 4-6 years old. Grown-ups are encouraged to help!
No previous knowledge is required.
All electronics will be checked by electrician before the event and only devices without capacitors and no stored electricity will be used (DUH!).
EVEN MORE IMPORTANT:
Some parts can be sharp and pokey- we’ll have plenty of bandaids on hand. No adventure is without risk. You decide on your comfort level.
